Morr wheels or Bc Forged? Or neither..

Spring is around the corner ( definitely does not feel that way ) and I would like to get some opinions on people who own Morr or BC Forged wheels on quality and construction. I live in NYC and DD my car. Most know how harsh our roads are here and I'm in need of something of great build quality, good finish, and are well made and strong. I read most reviews I could find on the web about BC and Morr but, I always like to check with fellow members before I make a decision. Price differece is a bit differnt from what i can find online. I don't mind spending more for better quality. I dont want to put 800$ on a 80k car. Im thinking of keeping it at 19s not sure how well the 20s would hold up here for spring and summer months. Also don't mind looking at other company's. Not something like 12k wheel sets tho lol.

Yea the GB is on for another couple of weeks. I can get pretty good discounts at anytime. Even the 20" 2pc stuff for not much more than $4k shipped.

19s on an RS? Thats going to look really odd imo. 20's you can still run plenty of tire

IMO

19's in a bright finish will probably look a bit small

but depending on finish and style (some styles lend themselves more to appearing bigger) I think 19's would be fine.

I run the Morrs in 20x10. Good finish and quality with no issues on summer tires. They are more expensive though than the BC price I see above. I paid around $5200 for my VS11 set

whats a safe enough of a tire to wrap 20's with?. I know there was a post a little back of people posting specs.

275/30 will provide plenty of cushion.

forged or cast, it really depends on how you drive. i have 800$ replica wheels on my infiniti. owned it for about 5 years and still have not had a single bent or crack and me/my dad drives and plunges it through potholes left and right ( its our beater ). iv only had cast wheels on my a/s5 and never had any issues at all as long as you dont dive into potholes, so imo getting forged does not guarantee that the wheels will hold up better than cast. i see way more horror stories of forge failing vs cast, but then again could b because forge wheels gets more publicity when failed.

either way, mops will take care of your wheel needs. get the bc hb29!!! :) the money u save vs gettin morr u can use to buy ecodes. then ull b worthy enough to join the tri state ecode gang. #win

Decided to go with BLK 501GTR's 20x10.5 and wrap them in 275/30 summer tires SP Sport Maxx GT's. I will post them when I receive them. Get them right in the start of spring time. I cant tell if im more excited about weather above 20 degrees or new shoes for the car.

Quite happy with BCs I got from Mops. I actually prefer them over the ADV1s I replaced which are lurking around the B7 Forum on a bagged yellow RS4. Wheels are holding up to the NE Ohio road craters and the finish is as new. Hopefully the S5 will come out of it's 3 mos hibernation period sometime soon so they can see some daylight.

just found out 2010+ models do not have TPMS installed....going from a 09 A4 to my RS and having a all around superior upgrade, makes me learn something new everyday. Do you guys just get a OEM valve stems for a second pair of wheels? ( sorry for the noob question)
