We checked alignment, tires, bushings, suspecting maybe the rack (I'm sure Audi would laugh at me trying to warranty that as they would blame the suspension changes for the issue). We were frustrated with no solution in sight.
So I started researching it online and ran into all the DSR (Driver Steering Recommendation) issues on the A4/S4 and then saw that the problem also existed on Q5s. Today, we flipped the setting to off and WOW...the car is back. I took it out for a spirited run tonight and fell in love with it all over again. What a difference!
For those of you who haven't done it...don't wait. Go turn the damn thing off. Steering feels heavier, car stays planted and doesn't want to change lanes on you, you no longer have to keep correcting it as it tries to drive itself. We almost gave up on the car and I'm happy to say that we will now keep it and probably mod more (exhaust and APR Stage 2 coming soon I'm sure)
