    2.8 straight pipe question

Looking to straight pipe my 98 2.8 b5. I'm keeping my cat just deleting the muffler & resonator. I'm attaching a link of the exact sound I want. Any feedback on which diameter of piping I should run?

Don't delete the resonator. You'll get stupid drone and rasp will be terrible. Just delete the rear muffler.

Here's my video, of just the rear muffler deleted, resonator and cats still in place and muffler replaced with 2.25" straight pipe

You can go from OEM 2.25" to 2.5" straight pipe from the resonator back. I highly recommend keeping the resonator.

Anything more than 2.5" on a 2.8 is overkill. You'll mutilate your torque curve and probably won't see any till much later in the rev range.

No problem. Put a sound clip in here when you're done
