    Clutch engagement issue

Hello everyone. Been having this clutch engagement issue for some time but because I am planning on selling the car I'd like to get it taken care of.

    Here is what is happpening:

Take off slowly, clutch is fine. Press brakes to the floor and come to a stop, then take off again, clutch engagement point changes (its lower) and its a instant engagement causing to buck forward.

Would this be my slave or master cylinder causing this?

    Thanks.

I just did new brakes all the way around with a flush.

Selling because I've enjoyed the car for almost 4 years now, 3 years of that being stage 3 and dailying it everyday has been fun but as only having one car I'd like to get into something newer / more comfortable.

    Thanks.
I was randomly having this issue for about 2 months. Instant engagement was completely random and very annoying. Then my clutch started slipping a few weeks ago (13.5K miles on a southbend stage 3 6-puck clutch with 85% city driving)). I'm guessing your clutch is on its way out like mine was.

Yep except mine isn't random. I can make it happen. ESPECIALLY if when I'm stopped I push my brakes all the way to the floor, then go to take off slowly easing out the clutch then boom it will instant-grab. However if I come to a stop without using the brakes (or just very lightly), and go to take off again the clutch is 100% fine.

Although the clutch has been on for 20,000 miles as stage 3, no launching but a good mix of city/highway driving. FX400 6-puck. Would 20k be enough for it to be on its way out?

The brakes have nothing to do with the clutch other than drawing from the same res.
I dont think there is any way they can affect it other than unknowingly pushing the clutch further than usual when your right foot gets involved.

Pp loosening up could cause what you are seeing.
There are only 2 things needed to make an Audi work properly - Duct tape and WD40. If it moves and it shouldn't - Duct tape. If it doesn’t move and it should - WD40.
