    Brake pads

    Hey Guys-

Took my 2011 Quatro A4 in for the oil consumption and they are replacing my pistons and piston rings but while they were doing their "inspection" they noticed I needed new brake pads for the front and the back.

Any good suggestions on where I could purchase the brake pads and at a reasonable price?

The dealership told me that for the front and back it would cost over $1,000. I have a friend who can help me put them on I just need to purchase them.

    Thanks for the help!

Check out rock auto or autoanything.com. I think I remember multiple people buying from there. I bought akebono euro ceramics from amazon.

I just picked up akebono pads from ECS last week. about $250 for front and rear pads total and they are lower dust than OEM.

i like the carbotech 1521's for a street pad. they are low dust, and work really well.

+1 for ECS. I just picked some up there. The low dust ones, and there is a noticeable difference in how much brake dust gets on my rims.

x 2...have been running the Bobcat (aka 1521) grade on my R for quite some time. These will be definitely going on the allroad when the time comes to replace brake pads.

um autoanything had a sale going on. i used a similar coupon and got Stop Tech drilled and slotted rotors with Posi Quiet pads for $422. Gonna install this weekend. was gonna wait but my brake light just came on today.

    $1,000 is robbery. Highway robbery.

Just saw this deal you mentioned. I also saw an additional 20% off if you spend more than $100 on auto anything. My car has 59,000. I just purchased the akebono eur1322 for the fronts and deal with the rotors later. Hopefully you guys are right about them. The cheapest I found with the sensors were on eBay; $72 with shipping. FYI
