My 06 S4 has recently started having some clutch issue(s). The pedal has stuck to the floor on me once each of the last 3 times I've driven it in the last 3 weeks. I stopped driving it thinking my slave was going out, or the fluid was trashed, etc. so I researched it a bit. On my 07 Z06, I just flush the clutch fluid which has its own reservoir. On the S4, I had thought, after research, that the clutch shared the same reservoir as the brakes, thus I had to bleed the brakes in addition to the clutch to properly flush the fluid. Is this incorrect? My service advisor made me feel like I just said blinker fluid or something, when I asked if they could go ahead and flush the fluid since I didn't want to bleed everything in my unheated garage, etc. I checked the brake fluid, and it looked the color of coffee to me, dealer thinks it's fine.
I left it with the dealer for a week while out. They could not recreate the failure despite 50 or 60 miles of driving.
Now I'm thinking I should just trade this beotch on a newer 3.0 CPO S4.
Thanks for any input.
Edit: When the pedal has stuck to the floor, I've just picked it up with my foot, and it seemed to perform fine afterwards. Also, the pedal had extra hard tension in it just prior to these failures. Otherwise, the clutch has performed fine through many other engagements/disengagements during the last 3 drives or so.
