    Need help in deciding on....

    Hey what's up all,

Im trying to decide what roof rack would look good and function well. I'm looking for something that is not to tall that would look awkward and would have an aluminum look on the rails of sorts so to match my s4 mirrors and my soon to be VMR v810s at 19 inch flush to the side wall.

what the car currently look like:

    And wheels to be installed:

S4 Mirrors, RSN-E Navigation, RS4 Engine Mounts, APR Snubs, Brushed black interior trim wrap, RS4 Pedal set, brushed aluminum seat adjustment nobs, clear corner mod with blacked out inserts, shark fin, ziza Led interior lights, Led License Plate Lights.

I'd run a Yakima rack with low profile towers

This is a horrible pic but maybe you can get an idea. This is a factory rack and I found it on Craigslist for $100. That being said it does look a little tall, but you put a carrier or rack on it and I can still keep my sunroof open and nothing hits or rubs.
Also I bought a thule fairing and I think it helped a ton with the aesthetics as well as the wind noise.
Now I painted my rails flat black as I thought that looked the best, but they are aluminum so they come in that silver finish. Have also seen where others have painted them in various other colors so it's apparently not hard to make changes in that aspect. Hope this info helps.

I like how that looks! I'm so stuck on going this route or going with Rockymounts. Rockymounts are a little height, but they look pretty clean. I like your setup for how low profile it looks. Thanks for your input. Decisions decisions haha...

They are 18" AMG replicas. They were on the car when I bought it and I am 99% sure they are replicas cause the AMG center cap a guy gave me doesn't fit. I hate how I can see the axle bolt, but that's way down on the to do list.

I looked at the thule aero-blade and the yakima rails and I kept going back to the audi kit.

Now to add something else to the mix there is a write up in the vortex about using certain model Passat roof rack slightly modified to get a slightly lower profile and more aerodynamic bar. If you were buying new OEM the Passat rack would be cheaper then the rack from audi, but I have ran across a few on Craigslist.

Hey bro I gotta Yakima on my bimmer. This is what it looks like with a similar style of vehicle(lowered, 18" wheels, etc) It's pretty low profile and has the fairing which is what really makes it I think. (FYI I'm open to selling it.)

I run the OEM one from a 2011 A4/S4 they fit exactly the same, in the pictures they look like they are tall but in person they arent.
