Looking for rear shock spacer to even out stance with H&R's

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I tried messaging users on here that has/had the rear spacer installed for the RS4 with the H&R springs, but the threads are old and none of them has replied.

The spacers are for the shock strut, and not wheel spacers. Raisers, risers, strut spacers, what ever you want to call them.

With the reverse rake, the H&R springs does drop the front a bit more, but not enough. So the fix is using B5 perch up front (lower the front) or rear shock spacers (raise the back) to even out the stance.

I'm assuming these are one-off parts that were custom made for this purpose. I was hoping to reach out to those that had a shop done them, to make a spare for me or a shop that sells these for our cars.

If these unicorn parts are non-existence now, then I will have to go another route.. Just thought I give the forum a try.

    Thanks,

Here's the specs I used. I had several made, but those are long sold. I had these milled from aluminum. You can also use Delrin plastic.

this forum needs a thank you button!!!

Awesome man, hope I can find a shop that can make this. How much did it cost you to do this?

I'm going to look for a shop to do this, anyone else need these if I am able to make them? Might as well make a few sets while I'm at it!

You're welcome! I paid $120 to have them made. I was quoted as high as $200+ depending on number of sets made. Most of the cost goes into the setting up their machine. Buying bulk in materials is always cheaper also. I can't remember how many I made.

Yea I'm gonna get some quotes today. Was this measurement a perfect fit? Or did you have to grind some/tough fit? Just curious with the 1mm difference of depth and .1mm difference from the stock piece that goes on top.

Perfect fit. Tried to make it as close to the the front height with HR springs. There will be variations depending on DRC pressure, worn parts etc, but pretty close. I'm 25.75 front and 26 rear. Others that sold sets to are spot on.

The .1 mm is to account for the top nub. The spacer is on top, fits between the rubber and car. The larger nub goes into the spring.

Another option to getting a spacer fabricated is to use the B8 S4 ADS rear spring spacer. I ordered from my Audi dealer. It worked perfectly. Can't remember how much I paid for two of them but it was definitely less than $100.

I reference it in post #83 here and provide a link to where I found it:

A good photo of it is in this thread. It is the plastic piece on top of the rubber spring mount:

I'm just going to have it made with Aluminum from a local shop.

PM me if you are serious about them, I'll send them out for $45 shipped. For USA, international, probably more for shipping.

    Thanks

I had them fabbed, and they are beautiful. I'll post pics up later tonight, but if anyone is interested, I can do $80 + shipping with 3+ orders, and I already got 2 guys wanting them.

Message me if you are interested, the down side is I have not installed them yet but they are made to spec to the above post.
