    Wheel Bearing or Something More?

For the past couple days I've been getting some weird clunking/grinding sometimes metallic noise while driving from my passenger rear back. Thought it was just chunks of ice at first but it has not gone away. Last night I jacked the car up and noticed the tire could be move very easily back and forth while pushing/pulling it. I've had a wheel bearing hum for a little while now (2-3 months) but this other noise is not constant and I cant make it do it, it just happens.

I put the tire back on and spun it while in the air it while it would move it wasn't the eaisest to move. It also made a horrible metal on metal squealing noise. I've read a couple things, wheel bearing, control arms, tie rod end, possible a warped hub. I know I definitely have a wheels bearing issue but I think this other noise is something else.

deffinitely replace that bearing, and while the wheel is off, check all the bushings, the tie rod, evrything down there to see if you can find that clunking noise.

saw something similar on a buddies car, he drove it with a bad wheel bearing until there was literally nothing left of the failed bearing and the hub/rotor assembly was free to flop around in the confines of the caliper carrier. Trashed most of the parts on that corner and he still claims it 'only made noise for a couple days' before we looked at it.

Well this has been humming slightly for a while now. The other noise just started 3 days ago. Probably around 100 miles now. I was hoping I could wait until it warmed up/the snow/ice melted so I could replace it. Doesn't look like that is going to happen.
