just got my ecu back from United motorsports. Got the stage 2, vr6 maf, test pipe. Supposedly I was suppose to get the cat delete as well but after 10 miles I got a cel. Also vacuum is now at 15 inhg at idle. I will call um on Monday, but is it safe to say they did not do the cat delete programming? Also could the 15 inhg have anything to do with going to a vr6 maf? Other than that runs great.
Intake manifold vacuum pressure at idle has nothing to do with the MAF meter size, since the MAF meter is before the throttle body. The absolute pressure in the intake manifold is the result of the engine tuning (primarily ignition timing) cam timing and valve lift, throttle opening angle (mass air flow rate,) and the idle speed, (engine air pumping capacity,) being at a balance point at idle. The idle balance point with that tune, results in the absolute manifold pressure (vacuum,) shown. OR, there is a large unmetered air leak into the manifold downstream from the throttle valve.
