Cel w cat delete file

just got my ecu back from United motorsports. Got the stage 2, vr6 maf, test pipe. Supposedly I was suppose to get the cat delete as well but after 10 miles I got a cel. Also vacuum is now at 15 inhg at idle. I will call um on Monday, but is it safe to say they did not do the cat delete programming? Also could the 15 inhg have anything to do with going to a vr6 maf? Other than that runs great.

so cel magically means its a catalyst fault? maybe you should try checking faults first.

I was under the impression a cel would never occur for any reason. But your right. Need to check.

Intake manifold vacuum pressure at idle has nothing to do with the MAF meter size, since the MAF meter is before the throttle body. The absolute pressure in the intake manifold is the result of the engine tuning (primarily ignition timing) cam timing and valve lift, throttle opening angle (mass air flow rate,) and the idle speed, (engine air pumping capacity,) being at a balance point at idle. The idle balance point with that tune, results in the absolute manifold pressure (vacuum,) shown. OR, there is a large unmetered air leak into the manifold downstream from the throttle valve.

As for me switching to um, giac does not have a cat delete file so Intead of spending a grand on a new cat, I thought I'd get rid of the cat and pick a software that can accomodate. I chose um because my mechanic highly recommend it.

Also I was pinging a lot with giac. Have not heard one ping with um and it was over 80 degrees yesterday.

Good stuff! It's nice to see a fellow veteran member still going strong after 9+ years. I myself have gone up to a billet 28-sized turbo and still loving it on eurodyne tune.

Well I got the p0420 code. Any chance this could be a result of a bad 02 sensor?

Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

When was the last time you replaced either of the O2 sensors?

Go back to UM and ask them what's up.
