Electrical grumlings! Trunk opens by itself.. Vimeo video inside the thread. Heeelp

Hello! I love my S4 B5 like all you guys but this problem that came today really makes me hate my life and everyone around me. So please help

As fast as i unlocks the car with the remote the trunk opens. If i start the car the trunk opens. Makes the car unable to drive and use.
I have sense a bought the car had problems with that the display not showing that i open in or the lights in the boot lights up when it's open.
I have also had problems sometime to open in with the button between the license plate light, the remote always works.

But now my trunk opens all the time. The only thing i do in the video is press the "UNLOCK" button at the remote. No other button is used. Turn up the volume and listen to the trunk "engine" after i unlock the car.


What can be my problem? Cables in the trunk / doors. CCM. the button in the trunk? Or what do you guys think, maybe someone have struggled with this problem before?


Please help me as good as you can. This is my only car at the moment and need it for work. So yea.. i think you see my problem.

Could be a central locking pump going bad, it's a common problem. But other than that, not sure what unique parts the avant has in respect to the rear hatch that could fail.

There is not much to see, listen insted. . The important thing is to hear when i unlock the car is how the trunk sounds when it open all time.

You know, I'm not sure. I wish I knew, sorry bud.

I would at least open the panel and unplug the trunk release electrical lines either at the trunk hatch or at the central lock mechanism. That way you can at least use the car.

Also, you can try to use VCDS to read any codes.
