CXRacing sucks. There is no quality assurance. I ran into the same problem, so I got a v-band welded in so the exhaust would bolt up. Then everything hung insanely low so I had my exhaust guy cut a little out of the downpipe and remount all of the hangers. Finally the exhaust sounded awful, so I lined my trunk with insulation and had an ultra queit resonator welded in were the factory second muffler was. I'm finally happy with the exhaust, but I spent the same amount as I would have if I did a custom exhaust in the first place.

Well your first problem is you bought a cx racing exhaust. I agree with the above. My advice, return it. Go to a custom exhaust shop. Not sure how much you paid but you get what you pay for.

Sound does suck it's really fuckn loud.. I would put my stock exhaust back on but I freaking cut it off I bought it since a couple guys on here liked it and said it fit well...it was cheap I thought I would give it a try but now I wish I would have gone elsewhere.. I've had it on for not even one day and I freaking hate it it's so loud I can't even just drive with out it being really obnoxious it's actually quite embarrassing

I have it with a gutted OEM cat and the only issue I had was the gasket they sent for the cat to dp was a little off and I had to drill a bolt hole bigger. The tips are tilted just a little but I have no issues with it. Sounds great at WOT and it's quiet at idle.

Sorry to hear you're having issues fitting your exhaust.

We verify every 034Motorsport Test Pipe and High-Flow Catalytic Converter after production to make sure that they fit perfectly into our fixture, which was based off of a stock cat.

If sounds like a few people have had issues with that brand of exhaust, but you can probably just enlarge the bolt holes on the flange to get things lined up.

"you can probably just enlarge the bolt holes on the flange to get things lined up."

The issue I had was the holes are right next to the welds, so enlarging was out of the question.

It's tight but it will line up. I put the cat on the DP the slid it down into the car. Tough but I got it.

Again, there's just no quality assurance. There was absolutely no way I would make mine work. I got the studs and holes lined up, but the gasket never sealed (I couldn't get less than a 1/8 of an inch gap) between the TP and downpipe, the welds prevented me from drilling out the bolt holes any more.

If you didn't have the same problem, then great for you, I wish I was in the same boat. It just further proves that you get what you pay for, sometimes it might work and sometimes it might not.

I hear ya man. Did you try contacting them to see if they would send you a new DP?
