    No fuel or spark

    Hello everyone , i havw just done a engine swap on my dads 1.8t , all in and back together , but it has no fuel or spark , fuel is getting brought up to injectors but no further , and just no spark, i have checked fuses all ok , changed relay , & crank position sensor , all with no luck , and i am a bit stuck as what to do next , any help would be much apreciated

    First check the wiring harness connections on the back of the engine and into the ecu. The fact that you have no spark and the injectors are not opening points to a wiring or ECU problem.

    Thanks for the reply, i have checked the wring harness & earths etc , is there anyway to check the function of the ecu?

    Find the correct pin and use your electrical tester to see if it has power when on. If it has power go foreword from there. If not then you know where your problem is.

    check crank sensor just had mine go out. Same issue a you. should have read your whole post. you have a scanner even vag?
