Gotcha!!!! But no seriously I have recently been unfaithful, and been looking at another beauty and she has me by the balls!! The Cadillac CTS-V that is! That thing is a beast and I have been recently on the CTS-V forums and really thinking hard about jumping ship....How does anyone else feel about them? Has anyone else owned one and if so, how did she treat you? I think its an awesome car to build....

there's a huge aftermarket for Chevy engines... Tuning for more power won't be a problem and probably a lot cheaper thna the Audi :P

Guy I know is thinking of selling his M5 in favor of a CTS-V. I feel like that's a mistake.

    An S8 is the same price as a CTS-V? (I have a feeling the S8 is at least $20k - $40K more)

    A new CTS-V or a 2013 S8 (75K) .

    They are about the same.

Doesn't seem fair to compare a used car to a brand new car... A 2 year old cts-v will be a LOT less than 75K. So car per $ puts the cts-v way above an S8.

All that does is really shows how quickly Audi's lose value. When I got my 2008 A4 in 2010, sticker was originally $48K, I got it for $26 (CPO)

I just think for the money the 2013 and used S8 is hard to beat right now. Yes the Audi loses it's value but my S6 seems to have bottomed out. 79K new but I got it for 40K 3 years ago CPO as well. Luxury wise the S8 is better than even the 15 Caddy.

    I've had two.

    Questions?

Unless of course you're talking about the 2016/17 CTSV?

All that does is really shows how quickly Audi's lose value. When I got my 2008 A4 in 2010, sticker was originally $48K, I got it for $26 (CPO)
The ATS was MSRP about the same, and it also has depreciated to about the same as well.

Guy I know is thinking of selling his M5 in favor of a CTS-V. I feel like that's a mistake.
    How so?

just think for the money the 2013 and used S8 is hard to beat right now.
if he's talking about the 2nd Gen CTS-V, you're delusional.

the cheapest S8 on ebay, right now, is $75K
Sub 30K 2nd gens are not that hard to find if you're OK with higher mileage examples, and owners are saying they're extremely reliable.
Quite a bit can be done to a Cts-V with a spare 50K.

Luxury wise the S8 is better than even the 15 Caddy.
luxury wise an Bentley is better than even the 2015 S8. Who cares?

I my be misunderstanding you here. I was saying that a brand new S8 ($115k) and a brand new CTS-V ($75k) are not in the same price range. And that IF a used 2-year S8 is in the same price range as a brand new CTS-V it would mean that the S8 wouldn't hold its value at all. I have no idea of the price of a 2-year old S8, just saying it seems a bit off that a car would drop from $115k to $75k in 2 years (that's a 35% drop in value). I am impressed with the CTS-V so, I'm not talking smack.

    EDIT: I guess mine CPO'ed A4 had a 46% drop in value...

No I just missed the context. I was just saying the ATS had lost just as much value as your A4 had.

At some point it becomes an exercise in how badly you want to crush it's competition, I agree.
