p2404- evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense circuit in 2009 Q5

Hello I am getting this p2404- evaporative emission system leak detection pump sense circuit in my 2009 Audi Q5 Premium. I would really like to not spend $1000 on this at the dealership and would prefer to get it fixed on my own by purchasing the part and getting a qualified mechanic to do it.

The issue is that I haven't seen a solution here and wondered if someone else can help me with it. I need a new tag and can't get this past emissions.

    Please let me know.

    Thanks

The EES consists of the gas cap, the PCV valve and hoses.
I would make sure that the gas cap tightens properly, and do a visual inspection under the hood of all vacuum hoses, especially the one connecting the PCV valve.
It may be as simple as replacing a brittle hose, PCV valve, or gas cap...if you're lucky.
If that's not it, I defer to anyone with more specific knowledge of code P2404.
