I didnt think there was wheel clearance issues with b6/7 brakes. I've heard of people shavin them down, how much you can safely take off I don't know.

You have yet to tell us what size wheels you are trying to put on, sounds like they might be 17's which is more than likely why they don't fit. I think your solution is to buy new wheels or rethink your brakes.

The OFFSET only tells you how much the wheel will stick out or go inwards from the hub. With wheels like that, the face of the wheel and the lip are what can cause these stupid problems. First off, just because its 30 offset doesn't mean it'll clear. Its all about how much the face is going away from the hub (backspacing). You can have a wheel that has a 1" lip and 30 offset and clear, as where you can have a 3" lip and 30 offset and wont clear just because of the backspacing of the wheel.

    This is incorrect.

this should illustrate better, i remember seeing in a work wheel catalog the difference in faces, like concave vs flat faces (regardless of offset). Pretty much 3 wheels, same design, all 3 in the same offset but with a concave face, a barely concave face and a concave face for fitment of big brakes. This pic should show the difference.

ok stupid nsx prime wont let me link the pic...

Most wheels will clear B6/B7 S4 brakes without the need of any spacers. Those calipers don't stick out much further than the OEM calipers. The brake setup that will most likely have wheel clearance issues is with StopTech brakes. Their ST40 calipers poke out the most causing you to add spacers, roll fenders, etc.

From a safety perspective, it's not a good idea to shave down the calipers and compromise it's structural integrity.

Ditch massive lips on the front wheels. Those won't work.

Most cheap LM reps do not clear B6/B7 S4 brakes. They are just a bad cheap design.

...still waiting on the wheel size, which in my mind is the first thing anyone's going to need to know to help point you in the right direction, forget offset etc. until OP says what size wheel he has.
