How about a "Colors of Audi" section?

Just had a brainfart....what are you guys' thoughts on possibly having a section on the forum where all the audi colors, past and present, are posted per topic? I think it would be nice to be able to see various pictures of the specific Audi colors that are out there.

There's a site out there that has a very good collection of not just audi, but all cars (including Exclusive colours). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be in my bookmarks, so I have to go hunting for it.

It will tell you what percentage were manuals, what percentage of cars were coupes or convertibles and what percentage of cars were painted in your color.

I guess I have a rare car. 0.5% cars came in Misano Red and only 1.6% were manuals. Compared to Phantom/Brilliant Black combined which 33% were painted that color for that year.

While this is cool, it is not very accurate. It provides the coupe/cab versions, but when you select one, the numbers don't change for me. I believe Estoril Blue in 2014 was not a standard color on the coupe as the car I'm picking up tomorrow has a sticker that says audi exclusive color and it is estoril blue (to the best my eyes can tell).

"i am interested ing etting production numbers for my 20## audi a/s/rs# in x color with y transmission and z color interior."

you also need to provide a VIN. they usually get back to you within a day or so.

I do have to say it's not entirely what I had in mind, most of the pictures are very similar: angle and lighting. What I love about this forum is the pictures members post, showing off their cars under all kinds of different conditions, and often very high quality pictures rather than the quick snaps the dealers take to post their cars on their own websites....

It would be nice that if you are interested in a certain color, that you can see it under various conditions, and this will help decide your ultimate favorite.
