How does every one's car history look and what eventually led you to buying an S4,

The first car I drove was my dad's Morris Minor, Yes a Morris Minor :D (Cars were a luxury item in Sri Lanka in the 80s and 90s)
The first car I bought was a B5 A4 (1999) with 123K Kms. Had it since last year.

Eventually decided to get a new one and my requirement was simple, a luxury sport sedan with 250+ HP.

Didn't want any of the American brands, they were all big and expensive or small and cheap.
All the Asian brands (Infiniti, Lexus, Acura) didn't look mature enough. And the interiors looked like they came off a Space Shuttle.

After test driving the BMWs, A4s narrowed down my choices to the C350 and the Volvo S60 T5 AWD. And eventually decided on the S60 T5, as the C350 was very rare and about 8K over my budget.

There is an Audi dealership right next to the Volvo dealership I test drove the S60. So walked into it just to "peruse" and saw my S4 for sale. Took it in for a test drive just for fun.
The S4 was never in my radar as I wanted a "practical car" and not a Supercharged V6 monster.

My mind was immediately made up once I got in the car and took it for a drive. I came off the test drive with an ear to ear grin and knowing this the car I wanted :D.

But the practical side of my brain kicked in and I needed a few days to think about pulling the trigger on it.

Eventually my fiancée was the one who convinced me, saying are you going to be happy with the S60 or the S4. The answer was straight and simple :D
