B7 in tank fuel pump

I have a 3.2 quattro, recently replaced the fuel pump, gas started leaking after I replaced the pump. Tought it was cause of the fuel pump gasket. Changed that the other day and it still leaks gas. The fuel lines are intact and dry. The other day was pumping gas and noticed gas squirting gas out of this little green thing. My question is is there's something missing or is it supposed to be something connected??? From my search the other b7 look the same. Thanks in advance.

yes you need Quick Coupling Cap check ecstuning.com ECS Part# ES#436458 Mfg Part# 8E0201263G This cap is used in the fuel system to seal or cap off fuel lines or fittings featuring quick disconnect. Commonly found on the fuel pump itself, this cap operates just like a fuel line with quick disconnect. If your cap has begun to leak or has broken, be sure to replace it and keep the fuel system in your vehicle free of leaks. be careful fire fire fire
