    3rd brake light removal diy?

    Hi,

Taking my vehicle in for tinting and wanted to get the tint done under the 3rd brake light instead of a cutout.

Anyone here has experience removing the third brake light? I looked at it and it does not look obvious to me on how to remove it, next step would be etka to see if it gives any clues.

Hoping someone here has removed the third brake light here and can shed some light (pun intended).

I prefer to remove it myself instead of getting the installers to do it.

Ive gotten tint done on all four of my S6's. For the first three each tint place spent about 15 minutes removing the rear brakelight, its a friggin PITA. Even with that, it never goes back in all the way and has a potential for scratching the tint when reinstalled. Soooooo, on my current one I just did the cutout and made everyones life easier.

So did that answer your question, probably not directly, but its worth the time and effort just to do the cutout.
