That did the trick....Next problem:

The interior lighting won't activate in the MMI.

The footwell lights are active but no controls via MMI

Insight anyone?

Their was a few options for "Auxiliary Heating" in the previous versions that I turned on to try to see what it was and now I just realize that I don't see the temperature set point anymore on the MMI when I turn the knobs. I also don't see the heating seats adjustment anymore in the MMI. Is this caused by those options that I turned on ? I can't turn them off anymore since the new beta so I can't test it.

Hi guys, I'm the founder and manager of Carista. We removed some customizations from the latest build (100008) because they weren't tested well enough. They will be re-added in a new beta after the official release, which will hopefully happen within a week or two (depending on how fast Apple approves the app).

Yup, those were removed in beta 100008.

Yes, we've determined that turning on the "aux heating menu in MMI" doesn't actually turn on a menu in the MMI, but instead makes the AC display behave differently (you see the temp in the small displays under the MMI instead of on the MMI while you turn the knobs). If it's urgent for you to get back to the old behavior, please PM me (or email [email protected]) and we'll figure out a way to get you a build that has those customizations enabled, so you can change them back to to their old values. Or if it's not urgent, just wait for us to release officially and then release the next beta immediately after that. Thanks.

Correct, that requires security access, and we don't (yet) support settings that require security access. The technical implementation is not too difficult, it's just that we're still consulting with lawyers about whether it's ok to offer this setting.

Yes! That's coming up in a future version, along with service indicator reset.

We just submitted the official release to Apple yesterday and we're waiting for their approval. Once version 1.0 is released officially, we'll start testing the next release (as a beta again), which will include the aux heating stuff. Note, however, that the aux heating doesn't really heat your car unless you have the required hardware. In effect, all you get is aux ventilation with fresh air from the outside.

No, it has not. And it has not yet been available in any release. But one of our developers is working on it as we speak... or type... whatever :)
And of course, we'll need testers when we have something to show. I'll post about it here.

Question, since I couldn't get on the beta test this is my first time using the app. Is there a way that the initial scan just give the option to do the engine module not all the modules? My s4 took about 10 minutes to complete, I have up on my q7, was still at 70% after 15 min.

Any discount for audizine guys for the in app purchase?

Wow, that's a REALLY long time, it's not normal. When you say "initial" scan, are you talking about just pressing "CHECK CODES"? Or are you referring to the "DETAILED INFO" button that you can get to after that? The initial "CHECK CODES" should happen in about 30 seconds normally. Please try it again and when it completes (or if it starts taking a really long time), go back to the app's main screen (without exiting) and use the "Report a problem" item from the slide-out menu to send a report. This will show us what's going on.

We don't have a listing for that code, sorry. Is it on the engine ECU? Feel free to send us a report using the method I just mentioned above, so we can confirm that the communication with the car was correct. You should send the report after checking the code, then backing out to Carista's main screen. Thanks.

I have a 2012 s4 and a q7 and tried it on both and purchased the full app. It seems to be lacking some customizations but I'm in for updates. I like what you guys are doing. Also on the q7 I can't get the locking confirmation tone to activate. I deactivated in vag com a while ago and I can't activate it through the app.

We already have the oil temp setting in the beta for Android (at least for the B8 platform), so yes, it will become available soon.
