I can also offer you a free 14-day trial of the paid functionality in the app if you're on Android or free beta usage if you're on iOS. I know it's not much, but still. Wanted to chime in that using Android with the beta I've gotten a lot working. the track apps was the most recent working. can confirm the lighting options are working well. Not close to time so I can't test the oil or service interval options.

Side note about the adapter. Carista's was back ordered so I tried a couple from amazon and the first two wouldnt connect. for Android users needing a bluetooth one I can confirm that this one works well: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ilpage_o01_s00
They also seem to have very quick and comprehensive customer service. Seems everyone has info on the stuff needed for Iphones, just a little Android love.

Hmm. Doing my brakes in a couple weeks. Haven't even tried to see if it offered yet in my version. Will check tonight. I really hope I can being that this is the primary reason I bought the app.

Android or iOS? On iOS, all "payments" you make through the beta are fake and you do not get charged, so feel free to play with it. On Android, payments in the beta are the same as in the regular version, but if we activate your Google account for "test purchase", then they're fake payments too, and you don't get charged. So if you're on Android, please email us at [email protected], let us know what your Google account is and we'll enable "test purchase" for you so you can try this for free.

If you have the beta, it should be in there, under TOOLS. Note that opening/closing the parking brake will not be a part of the Pro Package and will be a pay-per-use feature.

Also, as a general note, we don't recommend making purchasing decisions related to Carista based on beta features. Beta features may be removed or changed, or their pricing model may be changed entirely during the course of beta-testing. And in general, we're glad to give beta users free access to the features that are being tested, in exchange for their help in testing them, so just contact us and we'll get you set up.

That's definitely not normal. Is your ignition fully on and engine NOT running? (2 clicks on the start/stop button, with your foot off the brake pedal)
Also, what adapter are you using?
After you go into CUSTOMIZE and see that there's only 1-2 categories, open the slide-out menu from the left of the screen and pick "Report a problem". Put a note that you are "Aim high" from audizine. If you're on iOS, you have to go back 1 screen in order to get to the slide-out menu, but make sure you don't exit the app in-between. Thanks.

Got the report and I can see why you're missing some of the customizations. There were some communication issues with the "Central convenience" ECU. Can you pls confirm a few things: the ignition was fully on (2 clicks on the start/stop button, foot off the brake), engine not running, and all doors unlocked?

Are you sure you held them long enough? Also, it matters which one you press first - I think CAR is the correct one to press first, but try it both ways. It does take a few seconds. And finally, you may need to restart the MMI before it actually enables the hidden menu. I forget the key combination for restarting, but I'm sure you can find it online.

I did two presses of the start button, engine was not on, foot was off the brake, not sure about all doors but being that I have it setup to unlock all with the smart key that should mean they were all unlocked

We enabled test purchases for your account a couple of days ago. You will get prompted for a payment, but it will be a fake/test payment and you won't actually get charged. Make sure that when you're going through with it, the white popup from Google Play says "this is a test purchase" before proceeding with the purchase. If it doesn't, then you must not be using the app with the same Google account that we enabled test purchases for. Do you have multiple accounts on your phone?

Based on your report, it looks like there were intermittent communication issues between your generic WiFi OBD adapter and the car. Since the issues are intermittent, I would think that if you try opening the customizations a few times, you'll see the remaining options. But ultimately, I'd recommend buying our own Carista OBD adapter because the quality of those generic ones can be very flaky. Sorry that I can't be of more help here, but this does appear to be a hardware communication issue.

There is currently only 1 paid functionality in the regular version of Carista: the "Pro Package". It's a one-time purchase of $19.99 USD and allows unlimited customizations on an unlimited number of cars. Once you buy it, you don't have to pay again to make customizations. The Pro Package also gives you unlimited manufacturer-specific diagnostics.

We are now introducing new "tools" functionality in the beta version that is going to be pay-per-use. We have not yet finalized the prices or pricing model, but we know that the new functionality is not going to be part of the Pro Package and will require separate payment. This will not affect the existing customization and diagnostics functionality - customers who have already purchased the Pro Package will continue to be able to use customizations and diagnostics without paying again.

The long-term cost of the customizations we have right now is $19.99 for lifetime use. The new tools are related to opening the electronic parking brake for service and resetting the service/maintenance indicator. Things you generally do once a year or less often.
Future versions may change the pricing model and add functionality that's not included in existing payment packages, but we will never take away functionality that you've already paid for.

You won't have to pay for updates, and we will still add more customizations as part of the Pro Package (which you will get for free if you already have the Pro Package). When I mentioned new pricing models, I was referring to new functionality entirely, such as the service reset or EPB operation. About the customizations: for now we plan to keep adding new ones as part of the existing Pro Package, but obviously I can't make a legally-binding claim that we'll keep doing that forever and ever without changing the pricing model ever in the future. But what I can claim is that whatever is currently offered as part of the Pro Package will continue to be available to you for free in future versions of the app if you already have the Pro Package.

Yes, we're looking into it, but it requires "security access", which we are still unclear whether we can/should do from a legal point of view. But this is a very highly-requested customization, so yes, we'll try to make it possible.

I can speak for myself only here (obviously LOL), personally I'd much rather pay for a specific version of an app that I own - be it $100 or whatever the cost than to pay per use or pay per feature. At that point it starts feeling like hosted services - which I'm not really a fan of. Just my 2cents.

I have seen a post or two on the remote working while car is running. What is that specifically?

The car from the factory disables the remote once the car is running. I'd like to have the remote continue working so that I can lock/unlock a running car. Sometimes I just want to run inside for a sec and would rather just leave the car running and not have to use the mechanical key to lock/unlock.
