Like WHO CARES what metric a company uses? Do you want an arbitrary (and often inaccurate) number? Or do you want a 1/4 mile time that you couldn't possibly match with the same hardware unless you're an experienced drag racer?

I think both sets of numbers are useful in determining roughly how fast a car is or can be. But the whole dick measuring thing people tend to do is stupid. personally I think 1/4 miles are slightly more applicable to performance on the street. Neither is the be all end all.

It's not just threads like this. It's any thread that gets more than a page of responses. If there is a lull in useful info being posted, it degrades into a complete shitshow in about 12-24 hrs.
