Teak Brown Avant Build (Aka Jezzi)

Well been looking around, reading, researching, getting ideas from all over these interwebz... :) Just took ownership of this beauty on 1/7. I've seen maybe a couple in this color on these forums, and most of the owners have said that they would've never previously to owning a Teak Brown bought one. I will say the same thing... But, damn does it look 1 million times better in person!!

So with all that said I'm loving it the first week + I've owned it. Traded in my VR6 Touareg 2 (gas guzzler) for this $22 for a full tank and a weeks worth of driving only to use a half tank.

So the mods begin, because well, I hate driving stock cars...

I've grown a slight obsession with the new MB E63 AMG wagons in a very similar shade of brown—they're absolutely stunning. I'm also looking forward to your continued progress!

Well we finally had a weekend of nice weather so I washed her. I'm finding more dings and scratched that are going to be fixed soon, as well as she needs a serious clay bar or buffing to remove swirling... I'm certain the previous owner, although, kept amazing care of this car just not up to my standards! The interior is immaculate thankfully...



Ordered some RS4 fog grills so they would match the RS4 grill that I haven't put on yet. Waiting for more good weather...

Did I see you at Player's Bench on Sunday? I was in the black A6 Avant. If it was, sorry I wasn't very talkative, I was in a hurry and already under scrutiny for going the long way around Salt Lake to justify a stop at the hockey shop.

Avants are made for hockey bags; it would be fun to put together a team comprised solely of avant owners and do a car meet/convoy to the Vegas tournament.

Emills plays with us as well. We play under the moniker of BlueSky Outlaws in the Park City league. Hans plays in a league down in the valley too. I don't actually know this refs name (taller possibly blondish drives a red A3)....the only Joe ref I know (Joe Q...) I thought was a Subaru guy still a wagon though!

It's such a fun tournament! I'm not going to make it this year, baby due in March, but next year I genuinely propose an all Audi team.


Any power mods planned for your A4? Do you have a relationship with a detail/paint correction shop? I want to get mine clay bar and corrected come summer so I can properly assess suspension and wheels modifications.

Oh yea it's a blast!! we went last year and took third but not with our full regular team...

Not necessarily a relationship with a shop, just referred to a gut by my buddy who has a tint and vinyl wrap shop...

As for any power mods. I'm leaning towards intake and exhaust, maybe a few hose upgrades, but I already have a race car and I want this to remain comfortable, more classy, and keep the amazing gas mileage... Suspension is happening at the end of Feb. :)

Nope. The allroad grille is a different size than all other models. The fog grills are exclusive to the allroad as well.

I was originally thinking OEM+ A8 20's, but I am looking around for something similarish... Still unsure, I want to keep it more classy than anything racey. I already have a race car!

Yea I'm still looking at different wheels, but this is what I have narrowed down to. The reason TSW and I'll start looking at other brands, is that I have an account with Les Schwab and won't have to use my own money up front and 0% interest. So I can't pass that up right now.

I've been debating on 19x9.5 et35 or 19x9 et32 with 255/35

Looking to keep the car classy, no poke or stretch, just a little tuck at the top or 1 finger gap...

Well with the help of fellow member UofU_USP, we knocked out the coilover job. Yea, about 5 hours in my garage... Well worth the time and effort!
Couple pics from the install. Then today I adjusted it for the time being. waiting a couple weeks on wheels. Still undecided 100%

Nice, Solowerks? Let me know what you think of them. Also for wheels, check out 1010tire for some cool stuff. Orr call Kevin over at VMR, he can help you get a good set. Be warned, VMRs tend to be a little softer however.
