is there a way to have info of actual psi on each tires shown on the display?

I was curious if there is a way to have the display show the actual psi from each of the tires tpms sensors?
I know bmw has a way to code this info so it will show on their monitors.
does the S3 have this ability?

According to Tire Rack the TPMS on the A3 and S3 monitor tire pressure using individual wheel speed sensors to compare any differences in rotational speed between the wheels. This method cannot accurately determine the actual tire pressure.

horrible tpms system. I almost wish we could use individual monitors in the wheels, since i can't trust the accuracy of this system

I respectfully disagree. This method decreases costs and increases options with respect to aftermarket and non-OE wheels, and works well enough considering (1) TPMS became mandatory in the US in 2008, and most drivers (except Explorer drivers on Firestone tires) did OK before that, (2) it would be very rare for all 4 tires to suddenly lose pressure to the same extent, and (3) you should manually check your tire pressure every so often anyway.

I agree with all that you stated. And in terms of aftermarket wheels it saves you extra $ (unless you choose not to run sensors which I've done in the past, as annoying as that is). Being that I also do check my tires once every 2-3 weeks it's not terrible. But, I still feel this system really only is good for when you have a true flat, which the driver should be able to feel anyway. In terms of PSI being slightly off though, I don't feel this system works that well. When the temperature changed by me from 60's to 20's, even though I know to check the tires and they indeed were low, the system didn't tell me anything. That's my issue with it, otherwise I like the convenience of not needing to get another set of sensors

My 2009 A4 has the type of TPMS system that uses wheel pressure sensors on each valve stem. However, it seems to be calibrated to not give a warning unless at least one tire is significantly deflated. The A4 is my wife's daily driver and its tire pressures do not get checked as often as on my own car. There has been times where I have had to add about 6psi to each tire without a warning. So unless the system can be configured to display the actual PSI, I cannot rely on the warning anyway.

Not that I'm aware of. That'd mean installing a totally different system, unless they make some sort of TPM that you install in the wheel like you do for other systems and it can connect to some sort of external device. Would be kinda cool actually if they made a system that worked with a smartphone. Makes me wonder if it exists somewhere...
