Heres another A3 with 18x8 M220s, slightly less aggressive but still pretty flush!

I was told they were the 18x8 +45s, but they look too aggressive to be that fitment, so I'm thinking they might be the 18x9 +38s

I am pretty disappointed in the fitment options for the A3/S3. Seems you can't get any concave wheels without stretching the tires. I have stretched tires on my R32, but I am just not a fan of them any more. I really wish a 19x9.5 with at least a 245/35 would fit without rubbing.

I run the same setup on my B8 A4. Unless he had them customize the offset they are definitely 18x9 +38.

After much debate, I'm going with AG M580 in a 19x9.5 with 255/30/19. Will be lowered on HR super Sports, hoping to get that lowered wide stance. Talked to several on this site and went through countless hours of looking at different set ups and decided this is the look I'm after. I will post pics as soon as I get them installed.

I'm almost positive a 19x9.5 with a 255/30 will work, that is what I'm going with.

I was basing my statement off this post. He is running 9.5 et 40 with a 235/35/19 and is rubbing in the rear. I am interested to see someone else's experience though. I have some H&R Supersports that will hopefully be installed this weekend.

He's also on coil-overs with just springs you should be good. I'll post pics of my set up hopefully next week. I'll look to see if I'll be able to install the springs.

I tried the phone book flair trick but I didn't get much out of it, gonna try an actual fender roll to get more clearance, the only thing that hits is the front fender tap that holds the liner

From someone whos running 19x9.5 et40 with 235/35/19s with ST coils spun down all the way in the rear and almost all the way down in the front, I would say that 255 is possible with just springs. My tires also do not look anywhere as stretched as those.

I have plenty of inside clearance on both front and rear struts for wider tires.

I put about -2 degrees of camber in the rear to clear up any possible rubbing that may come.

The fronts fenders have been rolled to fix the rubbing while fast cornering. The front edge of the front fenders have a pretty large inside lip that was cutting a bit into my tire. I made it worse by accidentally pulling the lip out more when leaving a steep driveway at SOWO.

I have some measurements of fender to ground, wheel gap and side skirts to ground for both OEM A3 suspension with OEM wheels and my ST Coils with OEM wheels that I could share if it'd help anyone. Basically I received about 3.25 inches of drop in the front and ~2.5 in the rear.

    Great info on this thread!

Can I get a solid confirmation that 19x9.5 et 35 will fit on the S3 lowered on HR sport springs?

    TIA

Got any shots that show the amount of poke the wheels have? A local kid is selling a set of AG wheels in 19x9.5. I am hoping to be able to test fit them.

Looks like 235/35/19 is the widest you want to go with that low of a drop on 19x9.5 +40

    Based on this thread

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...33-19x9-5-ET40

Someone has fitted the exact same specs I have mentioned, lowered on the same springs and he did not have to roll fenders or camber out. Running on 255/30/19.

That actually doesn't look too bad. I am just on springs though so I'm not sure I could pull off the look.

I can generally agree with that. Without doing a more aggressive fender roll and with that size and offset and the amount of drop, I don't think anything else wider would fit in the front.
I'm sure I could get a 245/35/19 or possibly 255/30/19 under there if the front fenders were almost pinched closed or cut. The fender line makes it a bit difficult to do any type of pulling for clearance.

Photos for any others thinking of Neuspeed wheels. I went with 19x9 ET45, not ET40 as too aggressive IMO. Car needs a 10mm drop next. Has Michelin PSS 245-35-19's

Can't post any pics but installed 19x9.5 40mm with 255/30/19 with a slight rub on the left rear but really like the way it came out.

Im looking at the VMR v708's 18x8.5 ET35 73.1 bore for my A3, would I have any issues with rubbing? I am lowered on H&R sport springs and I know I will need to get a hub rings.

No rub as long as 235/40/18 or 225/40/18 or 225/45/18 tires. 245 on +35 might rub on the outside if not enough camber.

I'll be using 235/40/18 would I be able to squeeze in 5mm spacers in the rear?

So far, on 8.5" rim with 235 tires, the lowest confirmed offset without rubbing is at +32 front, +30 rear. So 5mm should put you at the edge without rubbing. But now, you'll need to make sure your toe in the rear is within spec, so it doesn't rub toward the rear of the tire. If you want to be safe, just use 3mm spacers. There are plenty 3mm 57.1 hubcentric 5x112 spacers on ebay for like $19 per pair. I have some blue ones that I use to change the front/rear width at the track. Put it on the front for more steering, rear for less steering. And if you use 3mm spacers, you won't necessarily need to get longer bolts either.
