Will be rolling front, removing fender liner screw, will also be adding rear camber... as there is nothing to roll out back.

As far as the rear fender liner goes... would it be beneficial to trim the rear liner? Im hoping the extra camber will allow the tire to tuck

Got the wheels installed today, had to trim the rear shock dust cover, adjusted to max camber on the rear. Minor roll/screw tab removal on the front. No rubbing so far... may remove front liner and roll a bit more.

Was surprised how much camber adjustment was available in the back.

I have some wheels from my 13' Bug turbo I thought I'd try for sizing. They are 18x8.5 ET35 with 255/40-18 Firestones (2% bigger than the factory setup) and seem to fit fine with stock height and alignment (even better when lowered and camber set where I want it). Would the Internet hate me for running these, maybe with a gold "Quattro" logo on the rear doors? I'll probably go with reverse staggered Enkei RFP1s when the various tires I have wear out in 18x9 (255/35) Front and 18x8 (235/40) Rear with 15mm spacers in back as I care more about performance than anything else.

Thx ;) I'm running stock wheels with 15mm spacers front and rear on the R8 (leftover from my bug), though 10F and 20R would be better I think.

I'm actually looking at these wheels for my A3. Do you notice a huge weight difference? I don't want them to feel heavy.

Okay, thanks for the info. I just don't want it to feel heavy when turning the wheels or anything. I'll most likely go with titanium lug nuts as well to reduce the weight.

Do you have any issue with the 235/35 on the 8.5? I was looking into a 245, but since I already have the 235, I was hoping to just throw them on... I do not want any stretch, but it looks pretty good on yours

According to tire rack, you can us the 235 on wheels 8-9" and be "normal", with 8.5 being the center of the design spec, so you'll be good to go.

I see some people riding on 20s, which do look good but make the car still look a little high even after a drop. has anybody run 30 series rubber on their 19s versus 35? I don't know if its just me, but 19s on this a3 look like 18s on a mk4 jetta.

No issues at all after two years, and my Conti's run kinda wide, so they don't looked stretched at all, go with Pilot Super Sports or Pilot Sport 4 S tires if you want the widest non stretch look on a 235.

Yes. I was lowered on H&R, but now I'm on Emmanuel design springs. No issues with either setup. Looks nice and aggressive.
