Looks like nobody on the mk7 has pulled off 245/35/19's on 19x8.5 et35's without rubbing. Anyone here running this setup?

Definitely looks like you could fit 245's in there. I wish would be gone with a slightly higher offset from the beginning.

my conti's run wider than most so it's a wider 235 but yea 245 would be no problem. I like the look of the 235's a little better.

Here are my 19x9.5 et45 CH-R's with 235/35/19. I had 255's before. I think I might just swap these tires to my 19x8.5 renn motorsport wheels.

That was my setup on v710s. No rubs at all. With 1/2 finger gap.

red with the black optics and black wheels looks good. with this much stretch of a 235 on a 9.5 wheel what happens when you take fast turns? slides or sticks? despite PSS10's my car has lots of body roll - not liking that.

Try lowering springs and sway-bars. Optimal solution is coilovers, but I'm yet to find a reliable one to replace magride.
I'm seeing a bit of (~%10) improvement with sport springs though.

great thread, I see it has moved along, I finally came back to an audi ordered an RS3, I wanted to know if 20x9.5 +40 with 235/30/20 will work on this car, probably lower with springs. If there are any pictures to show how it would look. I have seen the 20x9 pics and it looks good, but wanted a 9.5 for the concave look, any info would be appreciated, best regards.

The stretched tires have not caused any issues, they still stick like stock. With the H&R SS springs I still have body roll, but imagine that a sway would tighten this down. I enjoy the H&R SS spring ride quality, not much difference than stock MRC IMO, maybe a bit stiffer in a good way.

No rubbing on the fenders, actually thinking of running a 3 or 5mm spacer to be flush, so your +36 should be spot on!

One thing to note since these MRR GF6 wheels are pretty concave, I was rubbing on the front brake caliper carrier. I had to shave down a few mm where it was rubbing on the center of the carrier. Eventhough I've seen many run this setup 9.5 et40, I didn't take into account the concave nature of the wheel, just a heads up for anyone looking to run this in the future. A 3mm spacer would have made the wheel clear the brake caliper carrier no problem.

Interested in this ^ as well. I'm looking for a 19x9.5 setup for my S3 only for the concave look. I've seen people running this setup with no issues / and people who had to mod their fenders. I contacted Vossen the other day and they told me they only guarantee fitment of 8.5 & 9 (at most) for 8v S3.

No clearance issues, clear hub, caliper fine. Need to run a small valve stem though as they are situated in the barrel and could potentially come in contact with caliper if they were too long.

ED Springs get installed tomorrow. Wheels should be here next week sometime!
