Here is a review I found online.

I picked up this basstube figure i'll give it a shot since I didn't want to be forced to loose trunk space with a dedicated system. Before I go on, yes, if I built a box and did the math to match speakers with amp and built a custom box, the bass would sound a bit (yes just a bit) better. but let's stop and think about that. Find a decent/good (not mindblowing) sub ($$)... then a really good amp (it's the meat and potato of a system, $$$$$) and then a custom box ($$$). that's a lot of $$$$$ to spend just to get some bass. I hate car electronics because I will admit, I SUCK AT IT. But this install (with the proper wiring diagram) is cake. It took me 20 minutes with come wire taps to get this speaker installed. Yes, it helps to have a wiring diagram especially on older E39's where they like to change color as the speaker wires run thru-out the car. what made me choose this sub tube over the infinity's basslink or the bazooka is: 1: Infinity's requires a base stand which is more effort and if you need some extra room, those stands are going to be in your way. 2: Bazooka tubes are round and it'll just roll around and require some sort of strapping. 3: This kenwood has a rectangular footing so it'll stay put and require very little effort to keep it in place. Yhe bass in this system is clear and not overpowering. I can still hear my highs and mids clearly while this bass tube fills in the void BMW engineers seems to purposely overlook (I guess they believe you shouldn't be listening to music if you are in the Ultimate DRIVING machine). from the outside, it's not so loud as to wake the neighbors but if you are walking down the street, you'll definately know there's a car with a system coming up. What makes this better then a custom system is that you are not commited to the box in one car. You can get 2 or 3 harnesses and move this bass tube around. It will only take at most 8 seconds to unplug the harness from the tube and 3 seconds to reconnect it.
