I have bought some B6 parts on line from a well known supplier of custom B6 parts. the exact supplier will not be disclosed as it does not matter, only the facts matter.
I paid via PP for the parts almost 45 days ago and they have not even shipped yet.
The seller has told me about delays, but never on their own accord....only when I send a email to query status do I ever get any updates.
This is where I need the advice....
I am positive that the seller will ship me the parts once they sort out their supply issues (no mention of said issues when ordering), however, I would also like to protect myself.
PP only gives me 45 days to file a dispute or I am screwed no matter what. PP offers a lot of buyer protection and I do not want to miss out on this.
so my dilemma...
Do I file a dispute with paypal "just in case" ? I do not want to sour my relationship with the seller, but I have to look out for myself.
the dispute would not ask for any $$ back at this time...just being filed as nothing has been shipped inside the 45 days allowed for a PP dispute. This allows follow up in the future.
Brainstorming here, I guess I could get a PP refund until such time as my items are actually in stock and then pay for them then. Bottom line, I have been without $400 bucks I could invest or make interest on for 45 days and this has tangible financial value.
Just brainstorming...
I have no doubt that the supplier in question will read this, no need to respond if you do not want to...your identity is safe with me...you have my email for discussions.
thanks for all help, I need the advice.
