No one is doubting your ability to not lock up the brakes on the track. You're driving in a familiar manner, entering corners that don't change, on a controlled road surface, without other vehicles or objects suddenly appearing and attempting to collide with you. How many wet track days do you have under your belt in this car? I'm going to guess none.
Most people do not have a ton of experience panic braking in real life situations. Threshold braking is
not easy in those situations no matter how much experience you have at the track, much less in adverse weather conditions, or in a car you don't track regularly. When you need to stand on the brake pedal because something or someone jumped in front of your car while you're going 80mph, you'll want the ABS.
But you're free to do what you want, and you sound like you've made up your mind. I hope you never have to learn the hard way like AudiSport did.
