Btw.. I bought the GoPro for the same reason. Mostly does a good job with capturing the exhaust note, however pretty disappointed in how much wind noise it picks up (and I have tried all the various diff housings) when mounted in certain cooler angles on the car.

Yeah hers (did I see she put her HC052's up for sale already?) were certainly part of the thousands I've seemed to look at. I decided to not do stepped lip to try and stay as open as possible. I may paint the calipers a blood red at some point but still waffling.

Good to know on the GoPro. Maybe I'll just try drive by's. I'm going to test it a bit on the Sport Exhaust and see what I can learn. Right now I'm just torturing the bulldogs filming them and trying to set up a Bulldog vision harness.

Love that look (obviously!) and one of the shots I recall that helped push me to the 09's Break Calipers coloring is the next decision but am going to wait until they get on and see what the stock looks like under the glow of bright brushed goodness.

Zomg so fucking hot. I want rs5 cab so badly. Gorgeous.

I chose the HB09s first in bright brushed/polished based on that exact same car and picture!!!! <3 then I moved to the 052s also in bright, waffled toward red after initial order was placed, and finally the darker finish after much hand wringing [insert fickle girl joke here]. I did consider selling them, was feeling mod guilt but got over that right quick

Can't wait to see!!!!!

Ahhh...shit. Another set of wheels I love. Audi will discontinue the manufacturing of vehicles before I make a decision.

Your car is going to look and sound perfect when you're done...and I don't even like cabs.

Well glad you are starting your build thread!

I also looked at loads of wheels! My head was spinning (and still is)! I felt I was limited to colors as I plan to keep the Alu bits on the RS. Wanted to stay away from the bright silver as I was tired of the OE silver rotors. Both Brushed Gunmetal (Grigio) and Stainless were a bit too dark for me, so I am going with Brushed Light Tint. Just not sure whether Gloss or Matte. Probably go with the latter as it will match my Matte Alu bits as well as tame down the brightness.

As Ryan said, your car is gonna look and sound top notch!! Can't wait!

Going to get a small ding fixed too. (Some branch/twig must have fallen. No paint damage but a small (like half a dime size) dent up on the front driver side of the hood that I can see. I may cut down all trees in my yard.

Ok so just dropped her off for Capristo install and had a funny moment. Dropped the exhaust box off direct from shipping to my house. Had no time to open it. The install coordinator left me a message asking me what they should do with the bottle of wine that was in the box with the exhaust.

I told them to save it we would all have a drink when I picked it up.

Where did you order the carbon engine cover from? I can't find it for less than $800. I've been thinking of having mine wrapped or hydro dipped.

I found it on eBay. They pop in and out. They are not cheap. I think mine for under 800 was a steal since its 1200 OEM typically. I think they will come up more as we see the 2015's roll in.

I would wait for the OEM real thing for a good price. It is worth it. Also check with vendors who may be able to help you out and get it cheaper for you.

Early thoughts. Amazing driving difference from sound, feel and seat of the pants experience.

It REALLY shows off the V8 and really needs to be heard and FELT in person. The sport exhaust just does not compare.
The lower RPM's now are so much more exciting and then 3-5K on up just blow my mind.
Downshifts are just a whole new world as is the feel from seat to steering wheel.
The option to just close the valves and go stealth is so nice to have when you need it.

Oh, and Capristo sent a nice bottle of red in my box. Nice touch!
