    Logging ECU Data

    I want to log ECU data that will tell me if pre-ignition is happening under WOT runs. I have looked at what is available from the Engine control module using VCDS but can not really identify what I need to log. I have also looked at the OBD-II data and again not sure what I should log. If anyone knows what to log to determine if pre-ignition is occurring please let me know.
    2018 A5 SB Matador Red Premium Plus

    Well I checked out APR's logging info but unfortunately it does not match what I see thru VCDS on my 2012 A6.

    Each vehicle will be slightly different. APR's is more of a guide now than a perfect step-by-step example. For my TDI, under the Engine module, there are 200ish sensors one can monitor.
