:: ECS Tuning :: B8 S4 3.0T Billet Aluminum Oil Filter Housing Cap

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!

The factory oil filter housing cap on your Audi doesn't jive with the rest of the engine bay's fine materials. The super-slick black billet aluminum cap by ECS corrects this oversight, while adding another dimension of increased longevity, durability, and ease of use.

The ECS housing requires no special tools to install the cap; all you'll need is a common 22mm socket or box wrench.

Only other finishes we would be able to have are a polished and a matte silver.

Matte silver would be awesome. Id get one. Black is too similar to stock. Matte silver would work well with the R8 oil and coolant caps.

Correct. If you click on the product then view the "ECS Application Guide" drop down you'll see all the vehicles this part fits.

Guys, I'm not going to dis this product and say not to buy it. I was going to buy it months ago when I saw it because I liked the B7 one they had... until I saw this pic and wondered just how well that screw is held in place. What guarantee do we have that you using this to bind the filter clip to the top of the cap has the longevity necessary to NEVER come lose and drop right down where it doesn't need to be?

That screw is secured with red loctite.

We have been running the same housing on our B8 S4 for over a year and it has not leaked a drop of oil. It could be that the residual oil that gets everywhere when you pull the filter could be giving you false indications that its not sealing. It's best that when you remove the filter can cap that you try and clean the housing and surrounding areas as best as possible.
