I see all these photos, plastidip or wrap the chrome on the Q7...

Playing around with an app on the phone. Liked how this turned out.

Toying with the idea of replacing all the chrome trimmings with black trimmings. But I think it'd be too much black then.

I'll just change the grill. Going to start hunting for this one soon.



As for the trim ill just replace it with the trim that comes with the black optic package. I'm not too sure about what to do with the roof rails.

On another note have just had the Michelin latitude sport 3's installed a little while back. And what an improvement over the older ones. Road noise has been reduced and the grip levels have definitely increased. Im not too sure on how they'll wear as they've only been on for 2k kms or so, but so far I love them.

Had lent the Q7 to my sister for the past few weeks to use. She had just received her drivers license, every rim has been curbed

Gotta get them all repainted soon.

Ouch... The newer wheels are machined. not easy to fix. Make sure that the body shop you use has a clean room. I had mine fixed but they all started to fall apart because of contaminants.

Yeah you're right.. We have a downdraft paint booth with an attached white/clean room with a negative pressure system built in, in the works. Perhaps once they're done we can use the rims as a test

@ Oligarchy : That storm was the worst I've seen so far. It was pretty bad. Good for business, bad for paint.. Weather here has cleared up since then and summer has started to kick in, 35c during the day and 28c at night with 100% humidity. I'll take snow over this any day.. I miss Toronto at times.

Ahahaha that's why I don't miss Dubai, last time I was there was in May and damn did the humidity make me sweat. I do miss Corniche beach in Abu Dhabi though. Our house is by there.

Haven't driven the Q for the past two weeks, took her for lunch today. New tints are on, just in time for summer.. But doesn't seem like she'll be going anywhere soon, some old transmission and/or diff issues that we thought had been sorted are popping back up..
