I recently did a Timing belt kit on my car. drove it for about a 100 miles. then this morning when I started it I could hear a light rubbing sound. I new it was coming from the timing belt rubbing against one of the covers based on the speed of the rub. so i took a different vehicle to work and fixed the rubbing when i got home. But during the process i broke the throttle body electrical connector. just the little plastic part that snaps/locks it into place. when i got it all back together i took it for a test drive after about a 10min warm up at idle. 6 houses down, right after shifting into 2nd, the car lost power and stayed at a rough idle. i putted back home in reverse.
i checked it with the vag-com and got these codes -
p1548 (solenoid valve for charge pressure control-N75:open)
P1545 (throttle valve control system : malfunction)
P1568 (throttle valve control module-J338:mechanical malfunction)
P1579 (throttle valve control module-J338: adaptation not started.
so i tried to adapt the throttle body and it read ERROR. i cleared the codes and started it again. same rough idle. shut the car off and checked to codes again. the only ones that stayed were
P1568 and P1579.
i tried to do the adapt again and got the error again.
I also unplugged the connector, disconnected the battery, pluged the connector back in, and re connected the battery. no difference.
did i blow the throttle body? is there a fuse/relay to check before replacing the throttle body? im stuck.
