If powder coated it's gotta reduce the efficiency of the intercooler...how will it not.

As long as it's black it will help. To what extent it really all depends on the climate that day. You won't negatively effect it.

took a crack at the FMIC, I need to cut the reaber out to see how its all gonna work for sure. My RS4 bumper is riveted to the crash bar so not much else to do bt Cut everythign out I can. The APR FMIc surprisingly didnt need as much cut out, but then again the evo core is much larger. Im gonna do that tomorrow hopefully and get some pics of it all.

Side note. finally found this at the local pickn pull today! Plug and play... love it. Just needs calibration

Got My Lights Re-Retrofitted. Openin the b5 housing is a PITA. would prefer not to have to do it again! haha

However... The FXR 3.0 bixenon is MUCH better than the little minih1s, which are better than valeo d2s, but nothing like a true performance projectors.

I asked that because last year some time he mentioned that he was running his set up @ 15lbs, so I was wondering if he didn't want to go over in fear of snapping a rod.

Ninja Edit?? lol I The front bumper is being held on by 3 bolts and a zip tie since Im doing some front end work haha. Also the RS4 bumper is ment to fit on a wider fender arches, so its not a direct fit onto a NON-RS4 model . End of the day doesnt bother me and once properly installed looks perfect

15psi on Stock Hardware probably doenst put out enough tq to hurt anything, but its close. Soon as the GTX starts spooling and it ramps up very quickly. I see positive pressure sub 3k rpm so its wise to keep an eye on it. Add a bigger IM and 70mm TB and a few more psi and there could be some carnage. Especially with extra drivetrain load quattro provides. Better to rebuild the motor than replace it

For reference, the APR kit with a gt28rs spooled noticeably slower than the GTX (back to back) on the same eurodyne tune.

I opted for IE Drop-in Rods/kit. Its all I personally need for now. After all, its a daily pfff

So Ive been using the DV hose from a 2.7t for my DV relocation to the DS (close to the TB). Well It finally ripped and was leaking boost like craazy.

Snow storm was rolling in, had to pick a buddy up from downtown on top so had to macgyver a solution quick. Main thing is my DV port is MUCH larger than stock at almost 1.5in... strolling thru lowes with the GF, spotted this. Fits perfect and the Bigger DV is MUCH happier. Cut some ridges for grip and popped it in. Pretty happy for the quick patch until I sort out my custom FMIC set up.

Technically its a Forge Super DV, but I have it set up as VTA right now.. Running Eurodyne mafless until I get the new FMIC set up. I just scored a oe 3in maf for $20 new, and have a few mafs lying around to test n figure out which is good.

Taking the build step by step. Once I get the new Pipes set up, It wont use the stock tube in the front rad support, which happens to be right next to the DV, and comes out right next to my custom TIP that goes under the frame rail. Longer path that I would prefer, but its already engineered in the bay. Just need a few hoses to tie it all together.

Awesome B5. Only thing I'd do different is either chrome rings up front or wrap the rings to match the RS4 Grille trim. It's an Audi, be proud of the 4 Rings.

So the new PVC DV tee is holding up just fine. Car is back to its happy self, who knows how long the old one was cracked and leaking for...not to mention this one is full size and not a little stock 1in port. DV Response has improved as well.

still have yet to pick a new color :-/

Well, local Pick n Pull came up with a few a4s out of nowhere so I went there today. Scored a silver 96 trunk... Not an exact colormatch but better than the black one that stuck out like a sore thumb!

Yeah, $100 is too much for a bare "Y" split with no Tips even...Thats like $150-200 for just a tip. PASS

Gonna start looking at 3in to dual tip mufflers. Might just hack the tips off of it and have them extended, but even then its gonna beover $150 for that route also...and more back pressure.... FUKC!!
