So I've searched and searched and I can't seem to come to a conclusion of what EV I need for a k04 turbo upgrade I know I can run the stock injectors but I'm getting a custom tune for 440cc injectors and I can't figure out if the AEB engine is EV1 or EV6, and I also don't know if I need injectors that have the metal tips or not.

Lmk if you need the wiring adapters. I've got an extra set.

Not sure what you mean by teal tip but you need injectors that are 60mm from o-ring to o-ring. Most that you will find are 48mm. As for injectors get Bosch ev14. You won't be sorry with those.

The EV14 have the best spray pattern out there and the best latency. There are expensive though unless you are willing to look around. Most people that sell tunes actually have a specific set of injectors in mind so ask the people that sell your tune. Bosch Blue gaints and green giants are used a lot. I have a set 48mm 440cc injectors which are Bosch but you would need 12mm adapters. I also have a set EV14's which are 50cc bu if you run a 5 bar they are 450cc. However I would go with whatever the manufacturer of your tune suggests.

Would the Bosch Red Tops work? Part number is 0280150945 I guess APR runs these with their tune.

Correction GIAC uses the red tops with their tune. There 74 mm but I'm not sure if that is from O ring to O ring. Or the the total length. I'd be interested to know if anyone has ran these in their car.

    Thanks

I assume it's total length. Otherwise you would have to space your fuel rail.

So you think they'll work with the AEB engine?

It looks like those are pretty outdated. I would find a set of 30lb ev14 injectors.

I'm not sure what you mean by outdated lol don't they all do the same thing? Not really an expert on fuel injection. But I figured I could find a way better deal then what APR and all the other tuning companies wanted to charge for injectors. I'm not sure why the connectors matter either lol.

And there also the exact injectors GIAC calls for for their tune and there plug and play.

Every injector is plug and play for the most part. Any 30lb injector will work. It looks like the ev14s don't come in anything under 40lbs.

Depending on the injector you could see a variety if different behavior. Some have smoother idles etc.

If that's what you want for a setup then I'm sure it will be fine and you'll be good to go. 44 bucks for a reman mediocre injector is no deal though.

If it were me I would go with a tune that calls for 440cc injectors. You could even run the united motorsports stage 3 with 630cc and have a ton f room to upgrade in the future. The owner of um runs a stage 3 with ko4 as his daily.

Yeah US rally team told me to go with genesis 415's but my garage was broken into and a bunch of my parts were stolen so I'm back tracking and ordering parts that were stolen, I've been working with a guy from Upsolute tuning there more popular in Europe than the US but the guy has helped me piece together my build for the last 6 months so I think it would be disrespectful to him to not go with his tune, and the tune will be custom tuned to my car with the parts that I bought.

Unless you know of any sites that sell cheaper injectors I think I'll go with the red tops lol. But I really appreciate your time and the information you've given me.

I just looked at United Motorsports site, I have a TT225 MAF and a K04, and my tune will be for 18PSI, but I'll just have smaller injectors. I think my hp gains will be comparable to there tune, and I'm about two hours away from the nearest dyno so I can get any bugs worked out if need be. My main reason for going with the red tops is like I said in a previous post a lot of my parts got stolen so I'm trying to minimize costs where I can. But I'll probably go with 440cc injectors when I get some more cash.

The ev14s latency values are vastly different to the 440cc green giants. These 440cc injectors DO NOT direct fit your engine, they suck at fitting and Ive had to replace them because of this, even after they were modified to fit.

I agree ev14s are a much better choice and to be honest the only thing that will be out is your idle trims- No dramas

Im not sure why Upsolute is recommending 440cc? are you sure?, Only 440cc for AEB file I know is Eurodyne (and I dont know why? not even sure Tapp tested this file on a car, its buggy as hell as well as the injectors just dont fit!)

I have however heard of a upsolute file made for 415cc and vr6 Maf- make sure you have the right maf, the tt225 one isnt correct housing to run in a tuned AEB

USRT is right in suggesting 415cc genesis for AEB, and without changing fuel pressure they should work ok as the fuel trims will compensate instead of 440cc.

those red tops are too old fashioned, get the upgraded red devils instead- but not to substitute for your specified 440cc. they are way too small.

Giac does not use 74mm injectors with their AEB tune or atleast not when I had mine. They are factory length. I think you are messing up the fact that people call them redtops. Hell that really does not mean anything specific except color and there is several different injectors that are called redtops. The difference between the injectors you posted and new injectors are night and dy and it would be worthwhile to upgrade if you can.

Most of these tunes like the AWE and Giac were made sometime ago so these new injectors were not availible.

Did Audi change the length of injector body somewhere in the B5 line? I know the AEB is 60mm O ring to O Ring but for some reason I thought the later was 48mm O ring to O ring. I may be wrong but I think when I was searching injectors I ran into this.

Large port is 60mm and small port are 48mm like you said.

I went with the Bosch Redtops there 315cc at 3 bar 74mm but I'm assuming that's o-ring to o-ring I'll have to measure them, but I talked to five-o motorsports and they told me that the redtops that I had in the link above are the ones I need, and I searched through a million forums to find the part number for the exact redtops I needed.

But when I measure the injector where should I measure it from?

Oring to oring. 62.5 mm. Every one says 60 to make it easier. It's either gunna be 48 or 60. You need 60

Alright well the guy at five-o said from o-ring to o-ring there 65mm. I compared the image from their website to the injector on ecs and they are identical. I think I need to just pull out an injector and compare them to be certain.
