B8 A4 Avant power and 1/4 mile figures...

Hello all! I just purchased my 2009 Audi A4 Avant. Aruba Blue, Prestige, ADS, Navi. I want to make her faster. What kind of power have you personally seen from your mods? Any 1/4 mile times? Thanks!

B8 A4 Avant power and 1/4 mile figures...

    Use this thread.

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=427418

I don't know of a faster B8 A4 (Avant or otherwise) ....I've gone 13.01 @105 (NHRA certified track) on pump using the V1 K04 APR tune.....I haven't tested the V2 tune yet. It "feels" faster but I'll know for sure in a few weeks. I have no idea what power I'm making :)
My other home is an AIRSTREAM.

No 1/4 mile times yet from me, but much like cory_can my Avant has a quite a bit of torque with the APR Stg 2 and 034 HFC. Light wheels would be a good starting point if you do a lot of straightline work.

    Happy modding!

So that's a stage 1 tune? What is your launching method to get that 1.8s 60 foot time?

Yes just tune only. I think uni calls it 1+ or 2 but its for stock cat and dp. Their "stages" are different.

    Launch-
    Asr off
Trans in sport mode auto shifting
    Stage shallow

Brake torque to 3k rpm and side step the brake or quickly lift

6at transmission sucks a bit but at least it lets you brake torque. I think its shifting at like 6200rpm but stock turbo is out of steam anyways so oh well lol.

Amazing the difference of the flexfuel b8.5 compared to b8s.. and the zf8.. I ran that 13.0 at 105 with apr's stg 2.. I'm hoping to break into the 12.'s with sticky tires.. I did that run with terrible 255/ all seasons..

Absolutely. If you were running e85 thats evey bit as good as 104 octane race fuel. Then theres the zf8 tat runs almost a second faster in the 1/4 compared to the zf6 in stock form. I have no plans to use e85 but i do wish i had the zf8.

And yeah at our power levels you dont want sticky tires. No need. A chirp off the line just prevents bogging. Your not going to spin through 1st at our power. Should be able to cut 1.7x on stage 2 with any crap tire

I think it'll help.. at my launch I was getting spin .. not much but it was there.. all my 60ft times were in the 1.8's as well.. breaking into that 1.7 will be gold

Right on. Good luck with it.

Ive got standard suspension in the avant and wonder if there isnt a bit excessive weight transfer. I have a set of dinan coilovers sitting around but want to make sure theyll adjust high enough. Not looking for much drop just want more spring and damping

Lets call it a very short venture. Dinan produced exhasts, coilives and tuner boxes for us very briefly but they took over ownership of apr and promply discontinued any competing products so their Audi stufff was sold at stiff discounts until gone.
