Anyone good at working with plastics - Fog Light Grill

Posted on other forms looking for this part for a 2011 S5. People all agree this part should be made, but no one makes it.

Lots of people upgrade the s5 grill to the honeycomb RS5 as you can see here:

problem is, the slats in the fog lights do not match the honeycomb.

Can anyone fabricate putting similar mesh on the foglight grills; Something like:

    or

ideally the soild part would be cut out or dremeled out, but I understand that it may leave it structurally weak? So I would be happy if even the Mesh could be tastefully applied over the solid slats.

Any ideas? Of course I am willing to pay and so are others.

Here is the thread where I tried to locate a place to purchase them ready made

Did these a while back. Bought mesh, dremeled out solid Portions and added 1/8 wire with jb weld on backside grooves for strength. Took me quite a while of Sanding and filling but really pleased with way they turned out

A member posted aftermarket ones now being made. I bought a set for $150 and they work great.

I think the thread was removed though as he was not a sponsor or something like that.

Would love a link of where to get these in case a rock or something breaks these in the future

I did mine on a b7 years ago. On the b7 the fog grilled we open except the horizontal slat. Worked the same process as others on here. Any high end two part epoxy will hold it secure? Then your job is to find a mesh that matches anything that you already have. Really quite easy of a process and so satisfying when done
