First... If I have to do this legally in Denmark I have to choose an engine that the B6 was sold with. Audi didn't make a B6 with the 2,7 bi-turbo so I can choose that engine.

I don't know when we'll begin... but I think soon. :-)

I donøt think there is room for 2 turbo's?

But I've found a kit with "kompressor" (i don't know the name in English).

Kompressor = Supercharger

And you could try to run a N20 (Nitrous Oxide) kit. 4.2 engines have forged crankshafts and hold up to a lot of power. You'd have to flow the N20 after the Mass Air to keep the computer from leaning the fuel/air ratio way back, but its possible.

Also, you could find MTM's kit, but its VERY expensive...and it may not even be avalible for the S4 yet.

But the ultimate thing would be to make it biturbo.

Martins- When your installing the motor, be very careful of the cam adjuster sensor wires on the back of the left side head. There isnt much room, and they....uh....can be crushed and broken. BAAAAAD experiance here with it.

But Im dying to see how it turns out. Keep us updated!

Now we have connected all the wires and hoses that is on the new engine (just to see if we knew where they should be connected) and I don't think it looks all that complicated now... do you?

no, doesn´t seem to be that hard.. bentley manual, right tools, a garage and take the front bumper off, and it should be pretty much straight forward (or at least, looks like)

The red stuff is because this engine comes from an Audi test-car. Many parts has this red paint on or a sticker saying "Sample".

It wasn't the engine they were testing but some kind of collision with bicycles. It only has 3868 km on it. If they were testing the engine I think they would have driven a lot more in it.

Ah, the new pedestrian safety standards. Well, I'm thinking more about the parts that may not be built off of production tooling. It really depends on at what point the car was built during the development cycle. Curiously, in the US pre-production cars must be destroyed by manufacturers.

Martin- make sure the detent retainers on the side of the transmission (its a manual, right??) have the yellow marking on them for an updated part. It might not go into reverse if it doesnt have them.... Those were early 2004 model transmission.
