Anyone have a dump tube or straight pipes?

Who has the loudest exhaust here?

I have stock cats + Milltek non-res, and am considering putting some electronic cutouts on just for fun. I'd expect it to be loud... but how ridiculous is it?

I've had them on my old 1.8t and 2.0t, and even those were stupid loud and sounded like tractors. QTP on my 1.8t TT:

Anyone have pics/vids? Don't make me be the first one...

I remember seeing this video a long time ago and made me get my DMH cutout on my B6 1.8t. I honestly barely even use it anymore because the vibrations are pretty annoying.

Yeah, it was fun to play around with it but nothing you'd ever driving around every day with it open. Ever lol.

Any vids of one/two on a 3.0T? I couldn't find anything here or on YouTube...

I'm curious to hear some cut outs on the 3.0T also. My experience in the past has shown that 4 cylinders sound awful, rotary engines sound even worse, but 8 cylinders sound pretty good...on occasion.

When i did my exhaust I had trouble with a bolt and had to drive to shop with just the cats on. Maybe 30 min drive and by the time i got there I literally had a headache. I like loud but it just sounds so bad and its horribly loud, not sure how I wasnt pulled over.

Friend had this on a 335i e90, it was laughable when he opened them up, droned unbearably and everything in the interior would rattle. Couldn't even drive with the windows up.

From what I've experienced, the 3.0T sounds a lot worse than inline 6's.

That's what I was wondering. Even with my 1.8t the whole car vibrated and it sounded like a ridiculous tractor. But not horrible enough where it was still funny

I have the one laying in my garage, I just don't want spend $300 and a few hours to build something unbearable lol

You should build an SRT-4 side exit exhaust.

I used to have DMH cutouts on my Raptor here is basically what you get:

First it sounds just extremely loud. There is no real tone to the engine at all. It's just obnoxious.
Second, once you begin to open and close the value it will develop a small rattle from the actual valve becoming loose.
Third. You will call DMH for months trying to get it warrantied only to find they don't know how to answer the phone. And on the off chance you actually do speak to someone, they do not follow through.

I then switched to a magnabox on my truck. It was a tiny bit less obnoxious but actually produced a tone.

Thus go with an exhaust kit. I have unresonated dps AWE and the shit is loud.
