Could be a carbon build up symptom. Had that done at all?

I was thinking that but hadn't thrown a code for that, no matter what we did its always cylinder 2. The car is perfectly fine until 3rd gear going over 3-4k rpm.

The only things that really caused that on the DI BMWs I'm more familiar with were injectors, coil packs and carbon build up. Most did what you did- plugs, coil pack. If that didn't do it next was usually injectors then carbon cleaning depending on mileage. Given you have around 66k miles, it's a fair bet you have a carbon problem if the injectors aren't known to fail.

    Any rough starting when cold?

Cold starts are fine. I'm sitting on 70k now put on 20k Highway mileage this year. Car runs great other than not being able to race ppl, I have to drive civilized. And can easily cruide around 100mph. Fuel injector was my last choice but dammit Audi had to put it internal? Isn't that like a $2k job

I'm gonna say that you need to change out the coil pack connector. I am in the middle of doing that to all eight of my connectors and it is fixing my miss fire issues. If you're connector isn't making a click when you plug them into the coil pack then you aren't making a good connection. Heck even the one that I did have click still wasn't making a good connection.

You can buy replacement plugs with pigtails installed already from eBay. Part # 1J0973724.

If it looks like this in your plug them I would change it. It should look like the second pic.

Yeah 1 and 2 won't click in but it looked good enough lol. That was the same issue I had fixing the airbox solenoid. Plug wouldn't click in anymore.

Haha, I thought so too. I almost replaced all my coil packs until I noticed that they were already changed out for the red R8 ones, so I figured I would try the connectors first since I've read that they can become an issue if unclipped/clipped too much.
