So I dunno how I did it obviously I torqued down the fitting too tight but I really didn't apply that much pressure. Turns out the female part of the fitting thats on the bag isn't even made of METAL?!?!?! even the damn OEM bag is metal to metal. Anyway does anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

Contact Arnott. Tell them you went Neanderthal on it and ask if they can help you.

Only if you bought it from them directly. I tried BUYING parts from them and got a ridiculous run around to a dead end. All I wanted was to buy an O ring. They wouldn't even sell it since I did not buy them direct from them. They said if I did, it would be free under warranty.. But still refused to even sell it to me.

I had the same thing happen, it will eventually leak even if you get it to bite. Back it out clean the threads on both the plastic and the fitting, wrap it with white plumbing tape, two wraps going the direction of the threads and reinsert slowly tightening it. That will get you by if not for ever, at least until the replacement arrives.

    Words of warning!

I just wrote this to buyautoparts through Amazon:

Followed the installation instructions to the letter. After removing the threaded air adapter, which seamed installed properly, and installing it on the factory air line, the threaded adapter would not tighten up properly. The threads seemed stripped even though the adapter never came close to being tight enough to strip the threads. I finished installation and tested to see if it was air-tight.
The car was now off jack stands and I heard air leaking so i wiggled the adapter which caused the it to eject under pressure and the car slammed down with my arm stuck in the fender. It was a minor miracle that my wife drove up and was able to jack up the car so I could get my arm out , after being stuck there for 2-3 minutes. As this happened a few hours ago it seems that nothing is broken, just soft tissue damage.
I was able to uninstall the shock and compared the new airbag to my older Arnott airbag, and the plastic top seems a little different. I don't know if the manufacturing has changed.
