2014 Meet and Cruise Thread

Thought I'd start a thread to summarize and link to all the meets and cruise threads for this year.

I will try to keep the first post as up to date as possible. Please point out if I'm missing anything or if anything is wrong.

Monthly meet
Aug 28. See below for details

Monthly meets

For the new members, we meet on the last Thursday of the month at the home depot just north of yorkdale mall. People usually start rolling in after 8:00ish.

We usually meet in this part of the parking.

90 Billy Bishop Way, North York, ON M3K 2C8

Nov (maybe)

Adhoc meets

Some of also meet up at other locations throughout the year. In the past meets have happened at places like the coin wash by Mount Joy station in Markham, Sherway Gardens, and a few others.

There are plenty of track events in the summer so there's no way I can list them all. But if there are any that you guys are going to I can add them here.

Cruises

While standing around and chatting is nice, we bought these cars to drive. Members have been nice enough to organize cruises for everyone.

yes!! maybe this year i would finally be able to make it for at least one meet....

What ever happened to the car wash meet? maybe it will be nice to have one since we all have dirty cars (well at least i do lol)

That gives you enough time to make the Thursday meet, which been going forever on every last Thursday of a month.

People usually have personal plans on Fridays and weekends so Thursdays work well. Most people usually stay late (past 10) if its not raining or freezing so you have plenty of time to drop by.

A high of +3 and a low of -8 with scattered flurries..count me out also lol.

Yeah, this thursday is a bit early I think. Next month should be perfect though.

Gah, this month is too cold and next month I'll be in Monaco. By the time I make it to a meet this year I'll have my BMW and won't be welcomed.

Ok so I guess it's pretty safe to say the consensus is that it's too cold lol

Maybe we can do an adhoc Spring Cleaning meet at the Markham Auto Spa soon when it's above 10 degrees.

You can still come, just park your BMW where it won't get egged.

Ok looks like nobody is interested to do our usual Home Depot meets. If anyone wants to have a mini meet at Don mills plaza tonight, I'm likely going to loiter around there

It's at Don Mills and Lawrence. Take DVP to Lawrence, go west and it's the southwest corner of the intersection.

Some of us might be cruising up from Toronto around 8pm, send me a PM if you're interested
