B6 Rearview Mirror in a B5?

Hey guys,

Just checking to see if anyone knows if a B6 mirror with compass built in would per chance plug into an existing B5 jack without wiring modifications?

I have a 2001 B5A4 Avant 2.8L and my existing mirror took a dumper. I'd like to inexpensively upgrade to a more modern version.

The present plug (mirror side) I have for the mirror is a 6 wire version that looks like the following:





Suggestions on where to score a like new black B6 rearview mirror that might just connect to that with out cutting and splicing?

I don't have any answer for you for your question but wanted to ask where and how much you got your B6 rear view mirror for?

Mine is starting to go and I wouldn't mind a clear, newer one.

I haven't bought one yet, I'm trying to find out if it will work or if the connector is different prior to purchase. It'd be nice to know if the mounting will work too, but I don't know the answer to that either.
