I researched this a lot. Most people recommend do the wrap. When I called around, many of the shops recommended against it. They say it lifts up. That one shop (can't remember the name) that does all the Fiskars and OPti Coat (Extreme Autowerks in Cerritos) said they stopped doing it because it peels up and they had too many complaints from customers.

People on the board recommend against plasti dip and I can see why if you do it yourself.

Alex at Rhino Detailing in Huntington Beach told me to plasti dip it and told me when you professionally do it, it is different and he knows how to do it right. It took him 4-5 hours to do it and he still has to remove the excess on the rubber. He really took his time and it looks great

I paid 200 bucks for all of it.

The "after" pictures look like there is still chrome in the trim. There is not. Its just the lighting reflecting off the matte black. It is totally blacked out as well as the rear diffuser

You need to change out the grille or dip also. And get the blades color matched to your car.

Can you recommend a place in Orange County that will do a great job on such a small job and can paint the pebble guard blades (I assume that is what you are talking about)?

No one ever says to paint the mirrors....strange.

I was going to maybe pasti dip them Anthracite, or flat black, but was too afraid of too many "greys" competing with each other (Meteor grey of the car, aluminum of the mirrors, the silver of the wheels, then all the black plastic trim)

I have on order through Tag Motortsports a real OEM RS5 Grill, AG M580 Rims (20's) and think I am going with brushed tinted clear, HR springs OE and Matt at OCarbon is making my RS Carbon Fiber interior trim.

With that being said, any recommendations on the colors? I kind of like the idea of just matching the color of the car like you said.

Then there is the whole chrome logo thing. Maybe plasti dip those all Anthracite? Flat Black?
