Now that I have pissed off just about everyone that came in here I know the fix for it and I just have a question about it.

For one I just want to make sure the code I am getting matches the issues. I am getting the "upper limit exceeded" code from the passenger according to Vag-com and I am fairly certain thats the fix I need but before I waste my time I figured I would ask because most of the guides say something about the igniter.

Secondly has anyone done this without taking the seat out or would I be better off?

Lastly both guides show the people doing the fix to the driver side seat. My codes clearly state is the passenger side. Are the fixes the same on each side?

    Thanks in advance.

The code you're getting sounds like the TSB fix should work for you.

It will not matter if it's drivers or passenger side either since the wires you need to fix are the same from either location.

I would however recommend removing the seat from the call all together. You will need to access the wires underneath which will require you to unbolt the 4 bolts holding the seat in place anyway. At that point you might as well just work on the seat where you have some room to work versus trying to tip it within the car.

Just follow the DIY and you should have no problems.

    Awesome,

I plan on doing the fix as soon as I find some time (moving sucks). Just hate that such a simple issue causes the light to pop up lol. I guess its good the fix is easy and almost free.
