S4 Badge for Honey Comb Grill

What badges have we used besides trying to get the make shift badge to stick the other one I took the S4 and glued it onto the RS4 badge we get but that kept coming off. What did eveyone else use?

I got one of the eBay knock off ones and used a dremel to flatten the little shelf on the back out, the used 3M emblem tape to tape it into the bottom of one of the honeycomb diamonds, been through the whole winter and a couple car washes and it's still locked on there

You will be modifying a stock badge (or replica of stock badge) one way or another to fit the honeycomb RS4 style grille.
I also nutted up and machined away some of the honeycomb to semi-flush mount the badge, because I didn't like the badge just sitting out on top of the grille:

This is the $15 replica badge sold by ultimotors on eBay. It's good because at that price point it's low risk for hacking it up to fit this grille. It's bad because this is my second one, due to the first one having the red square sticker fall off....and now on this one the sticker is already peeling off. Still not sure I would spring for the $65 authentic one, though.

Ebay has tons. I got mine there and used epoxy to secure it. Looks fine.

here's my how to on making a bracket to fit the badge using the parking sensor holders that come with the grille. (tools are: dremel, hot glue gun, black touch up paint for any exposed glue that cant be pulled away)

I just bought the badge (top left) from someone on eBay. Color is a little darker but the font if really close. The bottom is the rear badge of the car and top right is the OEM grill badge for comparison. I'm going to modify the eBay one to fit in the RS4 style grill and will take some pics.

This is basically what I did as well. Modified the badge and the parking sensor holder and then siliconed the whole thing in place.

It will but doesn't look the same imo. I also dremeled mine but couldn't get to sit right. Also didn't wanna go the permanent route and glue

I removed my badge from the OEM grill and used silicone to secure it on the new one. No modification to badge.

I could have used the OEM one or OEM copy but everyone else in the local club has done that, and I like to be a little different.

I used some mounting tape on the back of it and then another small piece on the rear side of the grill. Use black and you can't even see how it's mounted. I check it each time I wash it. Strong as heck.

Super glued mine to the bottom of one of the honeycombs...worked perfectly.

I had the same issue, red square sticker falling off, I luckily found it as it came off while closing my hood, re-glued then lost again. I just took it off. Actually like it better without anything on the front.

I used this exact eBay set and cut the threaded post to half the length. I also cut the backing plates to the exact shape of the honey comb to prevent it from standing out. Add a bit of thread lock and this works like a champ. Be careful not to over-tighten as I could see the pressure cracking the grille.

Thanks all. I ended up ordering the emblem from ultimotor. I was going to use scotch double-sided tape on it, but after seeing the red square issue I'm not very hopeful -- didn't realize how annoying this would be, lol.

Finally got around to doing this. Had to dremel out the back to make it flat. 3m tape seems to be holding. But, we'll see...

Of course I find this thread after doing my grill this weekend. My original vision was to fabricate a way to make it removable. I opted to use the protective panel that my ECS grill came for the ring section. I'm sure someone could have done a better job, but after 30 minutes of dremel adjustments, I broke out the glue gun. In any case it looks clean from the outside.

Using the parking sensor mounts is brilliant. I think I'd go that route if I were to do it again.

Now I just have to figure out what to do with my fugly front license plate.

I would've put it in the spot the original S4 goes on the factory grill. You are correct though, people put them all over the place.

Yeah, I was modelling it after RS4 location (not to be poser, but just figured it would be spatially more appealing.)

But now you've pointed out that I was off anyway!
