    Tie rod end insides

    Just incase anyone else is as curious as I am about things that really don't matter and have time to waste at work. This is what the inside of our tie rod end looks like. I had to change mine because the rod was turning in the rubber. [IMG]http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/20/

    As the wheels turn and the control arms move up, down and fore and aft, there has to be some allowance of movement within the tie rod end, it cannot be rigid and only able to move in one direction.....
